Happy New Year Cookies

Todd asked me sometime before Christmas if I could make cookies for their New Year's Eve Party, as we discussed what he was looking he mentioned the idea of doing some cookies with less frosting in case some party attenders were "jump starting" their New Year's Resolutions as well as Martini's and Champagne cookies.

So after much thinking, this is what I came up with for the "less" frosting cookies...they are a countdown to the New Year!

Nile's 2nd Birthday Cake and Cookies

Niles is in town visiting his Grandparents, and his Grandma ordered him a very special birthday cake and cookies for his birthday.

Nile's loves Blue’s Clues so his white cake is topped with Blue, and his cookies are paw prints, Blue and the number 2.

Wingert Family Christmas

The Wingert Family is celebrating their Christmas this weekend, and Pam asked if I could make some cookies for the occasion. She wanted winter cookies, but not necessarily Christmas cookies. We decided on snowmen and snowflakes.

Pam also wanted a "special" set of cookies to embarrass her younger sister. So I made a matching set and threw the cookies in a Victoria's Secret® bag and sent them with Pam.

Kyle's Graduation Cake

If you follow me regularly,  you saw the cookies that I made for Kyle's graduation a few weeks ago.

Well here is how Kyle's graduation cake turned out.  The cake is a yellow and chocolate marble cake that is topped with buttercream.

Jim's Birthday Cake

Jim's Birthday is on Christmas day and his wife asked me if I would make him a cake. I tried to make Jim's cake seem more like a Birthday cake rather than a Christmas cake.

Jim's cake is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Michele's Chocolate Fudge Raspberry Cake with Ganache

I think the title pretty much sums it up, but that is just what I made for Michele's Birthday.

The cake is a Chocolate Fudge cake that has a layer of Raspberry filling. The entire cake is topped with a chocolate buttercream and then the top and what ran down the sides are topped with ganache.

Ayda's 1st Birthday Cake

Sweet Ayda turned 1 on Tuesday, and she is celebrating her birthday this weekend.  I had the honor of making one of her birthday cakes, (her Mom made one also).  I also got to make some Christmas cookies for the big 1st birthday party and Christmas celebration.  Ayda's cake is a vanilla cake that is topped with buttercream.

Ms. Hammen's Class treat

I made this cookie cake for my son's class.  Ms. Hammen's class had their holiday party today and a few weeks ago their class "lost" their gingerbread man when he came to life, and they have been receiving updates from around the world from friends and family members who have spotted him. 

The cookie cake is a chocolate chip cookie and it is topped with buttercream.

Carol's Christmas Surprise

Carol contacted me shortly after there was an article about my business in our local paper, she was looking to pull off a Christmas Surprise, and she was seeking custom cookies to help her pull it off.

Well today Carol's husband David picked up the goodies to complete the surprise, now all she needs is her family to arrive and find the surprise on their pillow.
