Flamingo Cookies

My mom came to visit us last week, she showed up with a bag of goodies for me, and a new cook book…all fun and exciting things for my kitchen and business. In my bag of goodies were some awesome cookie cutters. As I showed them to my dear sweet husband, I know he muttered a few times...um...when will you ever use that one?  One of these happened to be a flamingo cookie cutter. Fast forward to about 4 days after my mom got here, the phone rang, it was my friend Lisa...and she wanted to know if I could make some flamingo cookies for a summer party they had been invited to this weekend. Of course with all the craziness of wedding and surprise cookies, I said sure, so here is how they turned out.

Thanks Lisa!

Rehearsal Dinner Samples

Here are some “sample” cookies I made for our neighbor who is hosting her son’s rehearsal dinner at her house.
I tried different things making the hearts into tuxedos and dress tops, writing the date on their cookies, mini wedding cakes.  They have previously sampled my martini cookies and those were something else we considered, but what we ended up deciding on was motorcycles.

Yes…motorcycles.
I showed the bride and groom to be who just happened to be over eating dinner and they both agreed that motorcycle cookies it would be.
So be on the lookout for some motorcycle cookies in my future.

Enjoy!

Thanks to http://www.ecrandal.com/index.html for having the perfect cookie cutter

This star cookie is for you...

My middle son had his 4 year checkup today, and as I have stated before, I like to shower the staff at the clinic when we go in, they work hard, and they are always great to work with, so with yesterday being the 4th, I decided to shower them with star cookies.

Summer Birthday Fun

When I went to bed later than I like on Thursday after finishing up a few orders I said to my husband that it should be a quiet 4th of July weekend. I didn't have any more orders on the books. After I dropped my cookies off for Ms. Debbie and her co-workers at The Clipper's Mate, I received a phone call from Sue. She asked if I had any cookies that she could use for her daughter's birthday party. I didn't have any sitting at home, but decided I would have time to make these for her. So here they are, these cookies are for a girl who is celebrating her 14th birthday. The cookies are cupcakes, stars, flip flops and beach balls.

Enjoy!

4th of July

These cookies are headed to Illinois to help celebrate the 4th of July as well as welcome a new member to the family. Thanks Elaine, enjoy your new granddaughter!

50 and Fabulous

Any idea what this post is going to be about? I'll give you a hint; it has to do with a special lady who happens to be celebrating her birthday today.

She happens to be 50, and I wanted to do something special for her, but also for her co-workers. I made up a box of cookies just for her and her family, and a plate of cookies for her co-workers at the Clipper's Mate.

 Happy Birthday Deb!
Enjoy!

Stars and Stripes for the 4th

Typically I like two weeks’ notice for my cookies, it gives me time to prepare myself, think and brainstorm how exactly I am going to accomplish them, and if need be it gives me plenty of time to do a sample or test run so that I am not frustrating myself and family because my cookies aren't what I think they should be.

So when Sarah sent me a message asking if she could get cookies for today on Wednesday, it threw me for a loop. I knew I would be making cookies for a 50th birthday surprise so having cookies wasn't going to be an issue, the issue was going to be getting my creative juices flowing on stars and stripes. Thank goodness I made some flags and stars for Memorial Day, so I "knew" what I was in for.

So here they are in all their glory...they were picked up this morning and are headed to Minnesota for a birthday surprise.

Thanks Sarah!

Enjoy!
