Monkey Muffins

Before

Instead of our traditional Monkey Bread I put them into Jumbo Muffin Pans.  My boys declared them to be Monkey Muffins so here they are.  We will be enjoying these with the soup that has been cooking in the crockpot all day.

St. Patty's Birthday and Baby Surprise

Well I packaged up the following cookies as a surprise for someone who just had a new little bundle of joy. With the help of his sister I was able to get these sent off. Hope they enjoy.

Now these are for a couple who happen to both celebrate their birthday around St. Patty's Day and a few days later. And well if you know the St. Patty's Birthday Girl I think you would agree that these are very fitting for her. I also made several Birthday Cupcake Cookies for the special couple.

Barbie's and Baptisms

I had the joy of getting in contact with one of my college roommates recently. A few years ago, I had received a phone call from her, and she was living here in Wisconsin. This past summer she moved even closer and so for her daughter's birthday I made her a Barbie cake. The Barbie cake takes me back to my childhood; I often had a Barbie cake as my birthday cake.

I also made another Baptism cake for some friend’s daughter. Her cake is a layer of chocolate with a thick layer of butter cream and the next layer is a vanilla cake. All topped with butter cream frosting. The sides are done with a basket weave, and I put pink rosettes around the edges of the cake.

Tickled Pink and more...

Here are some chocolate/vanilla marble cupcakes I made as a school treat for a sweet 7 year old.

What I made with the left over cake and frosting.  My husband's co-workers are enjoying this.

Here are some cookies I had hoped would make their way to Florida while my relatives were still there, but my Monday was way too busy to send them, so they will receive them in Minnesota.  I hope they help brighten their spring...Minnesota has had a lot of snow this year.

I made a birthday cake for that sweet 7 year old.  This is a strawberry cake, with strawberry filling, covered in butter cream and then frosted with Ribbon frosting and stars.

Look at me I'm a beautiful butterfly...

Here are several pictures of a butterfly cake that I made.  It is a white cake with pink and purple accents on the wings and rainbow rosettes along the bottom of the cake.

Any excuse to bake

Maybe it's just me but, I love to bake. My two older boys often say I'm going to be a chef when I grow up. I guess I really just want to be a baker when I grow up. This is the result of needing to make a cake for our neighbor's birthday and knowing that they/we don't need a lot of cake. This was my extra cake that I made into a 6 inch round cake with butter cream frosting. Using a 21 star tip, I made rosettes of sort. I plan on enjoying this with some of my favorite friends. I will post pictures of our neighbor’s cake tomorrow.
