A cake just because...

A few weeks ago, we were headed out of town, and I needed someone to fill in for me at work.  My boss was available so I told her I would repay her for working for me in cake.  Well the beginning of August was "Cookie Crazy", I made over 500 cookies.  I wasn't able to make the cake until this past weekend.  I delivered her cake yesterday.

Thanks MC!

Mike and Tricia's colors are Harley Orange and Black, but Mike and Tricia each have their own Cobalt blue motorcycle.

Flamingo Cookies

My mom came to visit us last week, she showed up with a bag of goodies for me, and a new cook book…all fun and exciting things for my kitchen and business. In my bag of goodies were some awesome cookie cutters. As I showed them to my dear sweet husband, I know he muttered a few will you ever use that one?  One of these happened to be a flamingo cookie cutter. Fast forward to about 4 days after my mom got here, the phone rang, it was my friend Lisa...and she wanted to know if I could make some flamingo cookies for a summer party they had been invited to this weekend. Of course with all the craziness of wedding and surprise cookies, I said sure, so here is how they turned out.

Thanks Lisa!

Sporty 40 Cookies

Chad is turning 40 and his wife wanted to surprise him with a party.

She opted for a “Sporty 40” theme, so I made basketball, football and baseball cookies and of course added a black 40 to each cookie to help remind everyone just how old Chad is.

Happy 40th Birthday Chad!
Thanks Becky

My Baby's 1st Birthday

Yes it's true, my baby turned one today.
We took advantage of grandparents being in town on Monday and celebrated with cake then.  We also celebrated with cake again tonight.

My sweet baby can't handle milk or soy so I made a special cake for him and me to eat, and then made a cake for everyone else.

The cake I made for everyone else was a yellow cake with chocolate butter cream.
