Jennifer's 40th Birthday Treats

Carl asked if I could make some egg and gluten free treats for his wife Jennifer's 40th Birthday. He provided me with a recipe and even some of the more obscure ingredients, and came up with the idea of a cupcake cake.

Mary's 40th Surprise

Julie contacted me to see if I could make a cake for Mary's 40th Birthday Surprise party.

Mary's favorite cake flavor is Cherry Chip so I made that for her, and Julie can't have milk so we worked with that.

Mary I hope you had a wonderful Surprise Birthday.

Jen's 40th Surprise Party

Jen's husband Paul went all out for her 40th Birthday. First he arranged for Jen's family to all get together for a nice meal out on Friday, and then he organized a Surprise Party for her on Saturday. Paul asked me to make cookies and cake for the occasion.

Jen's cake was a chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate butter cream between the two layers and then entire cake was topped in butter cream.  For the decorations on Jen’s cake I choose to show someone swimming, biking and running.  Jen is one of the girls I am training for my half marathon and half Ironman with.  The cookies were shamrocks since her party was on St. Patrick's Day.

Hope you had a great birthday Jen...remember you are only as old as you act.

Brian's 40th Birthday

Brian's celebrating his 40th Birthday, and his wife Jamie asked if I could make a cake and some cupcakes for the occasion.

Brian really likes music and really enjoys The AVETT Brothers music. Jamie and I decided on a 10 inch square chocolate cake made to look like one of The AVETT Brothers CD's. The cupcakes are also chocolate that are topped with butter cream and fondant decorations.

Renee's 40th Birthday Cake

Renee's turning 40, and Sarah did what any younger sister-in-law would do, she ordered her a cake with a really BIG 40 on it to help remind Renee that she's 40 and well Sarah’s not.

The cake is a marble of yellow cake and chocolate cake that is topped with butter cream frosting.
