I coordinated a Surprise Bridal Shower for Ms. Hammen today, working with
the Secretary, Principal and Ms. Hammen's mentoring teacher I mailed invites to
parents and invited them to join in the shower following the Character Counts
assembly. I was overwhelmed with the response from the parents and I think Ms.
Hammen was overwhelmed with the Surprise. With the help of lots of parents we
pulled it off. Someone brought in decorations, another parent brought in plates
and napkins, someone else brought in a fruit salad and juice and I made
cupcakes and "love" cookies. Of course I didn't snap a picture of my
goodies, but I did get a few pictures of the class.
